Jagr going toe-to-toe with Father Time

New Jersey Devils winger Jaromir Jagr, 42 vs. Father Time, undefeated.

“I don’t think it’s anything special,” Jagr, known for his legendary workout work ethic, told The Star Ledger on Wednesday. “God gave me a lot of talent and I’m using it. I try to work as hard as I can. The talent? It’s there.

“Of course, you’re going to get a little bit sore because of age. But it matters how much you’re going to fight it. If you’re gonna take it like it happens to everybody, it’s going to go a lot quicker.

‘If you’re going to fight it, you’re going to get old a little bit slower than anybody else. But you have to fight it. If you receive it, you’re done.”
