Dreger: Oilers may be trying to keep Petry

Darren Dreger was on NBCSN’s NHL Live on Wednesday evening.

On Jeff Petry:

“Jeff Petry - it sounds, all of the sudden in the last hour or so, like the Edmonton Oilers are going to engage with Newport Sports, who represent Petry, to see whether or not they can keep this guy in the fold. It’s a long shot. He’s earned unrestricted free agency.”
