Senators' Anderson: 'You want to be Superman'
/Senators goaltender Craig Anderson, via The Ottawa Sun, addresses the disappointment that has been this season for he and his team.
"You expect to be Superman I guess," said Anderson Monday. "You want to be Superman. You want to do everything you can to help the team win but there's going to be nights you're human and you make mistakes."
Anderson said "it's hard to put a finger on it" when comparing 2012-13 with 2013-14.
"I'm not really sure what's the difference between this year and last year," he said. "It's one of those things where over the course of someone's career they're going to play to their averages. For the most part, guys always play to their averages, and for what I've done in the first 10 years of my career there's a certain average there. There's going to be years you're going to be better and years you're going to be worse. Overall, you're going to be at that average. That's why they call it an average."
