Lecavalier 'not surprised' by Cooke's actions
/Pretty candid quotes Tuesday from Flyers forward Vincent Lecavalier on Matt Cooke's kneeing of Tyson Barrie.
NJ.com has them, along with a description of what Cooke did to Lecavalier in 2008.
“He’s done it his whole career, so I’m not surprised,” Lecavalier told NJ.com.
“He’s had a lot of incidents in his career,” Lecavalier said. “I don’t know what he was thinking (Monday) when he does things like that. I don’t know what he’s going to say about that to defend himself.
“I know when I come head-to-head with somebody and he tries to go wide on me, I don’t stick out my knee. I don’t know. I’m not in his head. I didn’t see the hit, so I can’t even comment on it. But I just know that if, not necessarily him, but if anybody does that you've got to think before you do something like that. It’s 4-to-6 weeks (out for Barrie) and you can hurt somebody’s career.”
