Stars' Gaglardi: Seguin is the real deal

DallasNews.com indicates Stars owners Tom Gaglardi will be in his suite cheering his team on Friday against the St. Louis Blues as Dallas fights for a playoff spot.

Of a possible playoff berth: “From the financial standpoint, unless you make a really long run, it’s not that lucrative anymore,” Gaglardi said. “That’s not what this is about. It’s about moving the needle with our fans. Teams that become regular playoff teams — they have to get in that first time to get it started. We’ve got some young players who need to get that playoff experience.”

On the franchise's building blocks: “The best thing about this team is that Tyler Seguin is the real deal,” Gaglardi said. “He and Jamie have such great chemistry. To have two young superstars when a lot of teams don’t have one. ... it will be nice to see what they do if we get in.”
