'True character' of Senators will show itself

This sentiment from Senators coach Paul MacLean, relayed via The Ottawa Citizen, sums things up nicely as the team heads down the final weeks of the regular season.

“I think you learn more about players when times are tough than when times are good. It’s easy to be on a team when it’s going good. When it’s going bad you find out the true character; how do you react under the pressure?

“When you become an elite team, you want to have more of those guys than the other guys. Adversity gives you a chance to discover that about people. Right now with the adversity we’re facing, we’re going to find out about a lot of people.”
