Leiweke: Scrutiny on Leafs unlike any team

"The scrutiny our team goes through here is unlike any team, period," he said. "That's with no disrespect to any market. None of them have the pressure on them that our coach, our captain, our goalies have on them. It's unique to Toronto.

"The good news is that when you win, it becomes the best place in the NHL and when you don't win, it can be the hardest. I get a taste of that riding the subway home every night after we lose. I heard it just the other night. I'm recognized, I'm all right with that, I don't avoid it. When you ultimately understand how important it is to everyone here, then you understand how good it could be if we get it right."
