Friedman: Sharks "looking for a 25-year-old goalie"

Elliotte Friedman was on Edmonton’s 630 CHED on Friday afternoon.

As part of a much larger discussion on the San Jose Sharks:

“I think they’re looking for a 25-year-old goalie who can play for a few years for them. They’re going to let Niemi’s contract run out. Stalock they just don’t believe has grabbed the net. I think they’re in the market for a guy who can play net for them for a few years. I would guess that’s as high on their list of things to do as anything else.

“And the final thing is though, they have a lot of cap room. And I could see them, in the summer, taking  a look at some of these teams that need to clear room and saying, ‘What are you going to do for us?’

“I think they’re going to be one of those teams in that market.”
