Friedman: Babcock coaching Leafs is "a big pipe dream"
/Elliotte Friedman was on Calgary’s Sportsnet 960 on Tuesday afternoon.
On Mike Babcock as a potential coach for the Toronto Maple Leafs:
“Obviously that’s been a topic of conversation. I don’t know if that’s still realistic. I think that’s a big pipe dream. I mean, do I believe they’re going to wait a little while before they make a fulltime hire? Yeah. I think they’ll wait into the summer to see how everything shakes down and see who’s available. But I don’t think they believe – I don’t know if they believe that Mike Babcock is still a realistic possibility. I personally think he’s going to end up staying in Detroit.”
