Draisaitl says Flames' Wolf "made for NHL"

High-end 2014 draft prospect Leon Draisaitl raved to CalgaryFlames.com about fellow German David Wolf, recently signed by the Flames.

"He’s a top guy,” said Draisaitl. “I think he’s definitely one of the best German players we have so far. In my opinion, he’s made for the NHL. It’s going to be a little bit of a transition for him, but I think he’s going to be an NHL player one day. I think he’s going to do well.

“He’s strong, he’s physical, he’s tough, but at the same time, he can play hockey. He’s a guy who could make an impact in the NHL and he’ll be a good player.”

Draisaitl added, “The problem is he’s so much bigger than anyone else. He’s so much stronger than pretty much everyone in his league. He’s big, strong, and physical. He’s a little bit feared in the German league, but not in a bad way.

“If you have a guy like him on your team, it’d be a great fit.”
