Bruins-Habs rivarly still thrills Neely

Bruins president Cam Neely reflects with The Boston Herald on his time as a player for the Bruins and past meetings against the same Montreal Canadiens franchise matched up in the second round this spring.

“I loved it,” said Neely. “I loved the atmosphere in both buildings, both cities. There is so much history in the playoffs between these two organizations. You can really feel it in both cities. It’s like nothing else I’ve experienced.

“I mean, I can’t speak to every rivalry. I know there are a lot of good ones. But when you have two Original Six teams that have had this much playoff history, it’s exciting to be a part of it.”

Good quotes from Neely on cheap shots and how the Bruins need to stay disciplined too.
