Playoffs bring out the best in Bruins' Krejci
/The Boston Herald makes the case that as much as Bruins center Patrice Bergeron is well-known for being a great two-way pivot, Krejci belongs in the same conversation.
Coach Claude Julien believes Krejci has been as consistent as he's even been from start to finish this season and has no doubt the forward will raise his game in the playoffs, like he almost always does.
Krejci says players must elevate their game in the post-season.
“Just the focus and really getting ready for the game, and you have to study the other team,” Krejci said. “You’ve got to make sure you know exactly what to do once you’re on the ice. So the preparation, and obviously you’ve got to raise the bar a little bit higher than in the regular season.
“The Stanley Cup playoff kind of brings out from you the best, for all of us. The intensity of the crowd, just everything that’s happening around the league, it’s much higher. Obviously you get more excited. There’s only 16 teams left and after the first round only eight, so really exciting. We’ll see what happens, but we have a good team. We believe in our system. What happens, happens. But we’re excited and we’re obviously looking forward to it.”
