Cooke provides leadership, intangibles to Wild

The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review recalls that Minnesota Wild bench boss Mike Yeo, who used to be an assistant coach for the Penguins, pushed for his team to sign Matt Cooke to a three-year deal last summer.

“We got exactly what we were hoping for,” said Yeo. “We got leadership. We knew there were a lot of intangibles with Cookie. It's what he does in the locker room. We've got a very young team. He's been a big help to those young players.”
