Ribeiro never found his groove for Coyotes
/Coyotes GM Don Maloney and head coach Dave Tippett, via azcentral.com, provided pretty frank assessments of center Mike Ribeiro's underwhelming campaign.
"There's a certain compete level you have to have to play," Maloney began, "and I think Mike got down on his game. Obviously, the coaches got down on him as well and it was a snowball and he couldn't find his way out of it. We need to get his confidence back to a level where he's a good player for us because he wasn't."
Ribeiro knows he needs to improve and mentioned, "Never having my groove, never found it."
He also volunteered that, "I can be physically in better shape. I think my main goal is to get in good shape and get ready for the season. If I work out maybe once in my career, maybe I can have a good season next year."
