Nill excited about Stars' future

DallasNews.com reminds readers that Tuesday is the one-year anniversary of Jim Nill taking over as the general manager of the Dallas Stars.

Despite the first round playoff loss to the Anaheim Ducks, Nill remains optimistic.

“I know it’s hard, I know it’s a tough day, but I’m excited about what we accomplished and where we’re going,” said Nill. “If you look at the players we brought in and what they were able to accomplish, I think you have to be excited. If you look at the players we have coming up, I think you have to be excited.”

About potential changes, Nill said, “We’ll study all of our options, and we’ll do whatever we can to improve the team. We have plenty of time to evaluate right now, so we’re in the process of evaluating.”

He added, “We know what we need, and we understand the market, so we’ll study all of our options, and we’ll be open to whatever possibilities are out there. We know this is a process and it’s going to take time, and we’re not going to force anything.”
