Richards, Pacioretty credit trainer for career boost
/If you're interested in the off-season workout regimens of athletes, several notable NHLers share with The New York Times how effective they've found the methods of Prentiss Hockey Performance near Manhattan.
Martin St. Louis recruited Brad Richards into the fold after his 2012-13 struggles.
“I was fragile after last season,” said Richards. “Now I’m feeling good about myself with all the positive changes I have incorporated since last summer. Knowing Ben was behind me and pushing every day got me alive again.”
Canadiens winger Max Pacioretty has high praise as well.
“Working with Ben turned me from a fringe player into the player I am now,” Pacioretty said. “Anyone can play well for 30 games, but in an 82-game season, you need to treat your body differently, and Ben has taught me how to do that.”
