Conacher wants to be part of Sabres' solution

Cory Conacher will be a restricted free agent this summer and he tells The Buffalo News he wants to stick around. For a long time, too.

“I want to be with this team longer than I’ve been with Tampa and Ottawa,” Conacher said. “I want to help this team win games. I want to be part of the solution that Tim Murray and Teddy Nolan are planning with this team.”

Conacher wants to rediscover that offensive touch.

“You’ve just got to be confident in the player you are and be willing to make plays at the right time,” Conacher said. “You’ve just got to be in the right areas, be willing to go to the hard areas. I score most of my goals right around the net, and if I do that I’ll consistently be in the lineup and I’ll gain the trust from the coaching staff and the GM.”
