No rush for Jets' prospect Petan

The Winnipeg Sun caught up with Jets prospect Nic Petan, who was a second round pick last summer, Friday afternoon.

The 5-foot-9 second round pick was 165 pounds at development camp last year.

"I'm about 170 right now; not too bad," said Petan. "I'm looking to put on about 10 pounds this summer."

His dominant WHL season is reviewed, along with a look at the playoffs.

Long term though?

"I think the most important thing for me is time," said Petan. "Time to fill into my body and fully mature, but I think soon enough if I keep working hard, things will turn out."
