Ennis: Sabres fans have been good
/With the Oilers playing host to the Sabres Thursday night, it was a perfect time for The Edmonton Sun to draw comparisons between the two struggling franchises. The former has been going through a painful rebuilding process, while the latter is in the beginning stages of one.
“They’ve been good,” Sabres forward Tyler Ennis said of Buffalo's fans. “They understand that our rebuilding process is starting now. Edmonton, I think, seems to be a little frustrated because the rebuilding process started a few years ago. Right now our rebuilding process is just getting started. It’s been a tough process, but it’s a little bit like Edmonton had to go through.”
Drew Stafford offered this: “You can sit back and say ‘woe is me,’ but there is no point in that. That kind of sucks the energy out of everyone. We got dealt this hand and this is the group we have, so we have to make the best out of it.”
