Hawks' Kane refreshed after Olympics, despite results

Things didn't exactly go the way Patrick Kane would have hoped for Team USA at the Olympics, but that didn't stop him from coming back with a great attitude and a hunger to take his game to a higher level for the Chicago Blackhawks.

‘‘I feel good,’’ Kane said, via The Chicago Sun-Times. ‘‘The Olympics . . . obviously were a little bit of a struggle. But I still feel like I played decent and had enough chances to put up some good numbers. It just didn’t happen that way.

‘‘I’m actually — if you can believe it — excited about where my game is and where I can improve and get better. But it was fun getting back here, skating with all the guys you’re used to playing with.

‘‘Sometimes you go over to Russia, and it could be a benefit because you realize how good you have it over here — how exciting it is to come to the rink every day with good teammates and good coaches and, most important, a good team. It was fun being back.’’
