Regin sticks with Kane, second line for Hawks

You may remember that Peter Regin was traded from the Islanders to the Blackhawks at the end of the first week in February. He played one game for Chicago, against the Coyotes, and did so as the second line center.

As the Hawks exit the break, that's where he'll remain. Hello, Patrick Kane.

“I’m not 100 percent sure exactly what kind of player or role. I think he can score, I think he can make plays. I think reliability is a part of his game,” coach Joel Quenneville said. “We’ll give him a chance offensively to see what’s there. With a guy like Kaner, in a short amount of time you’ll get a pretty good assessment of how that’s going to work. I think that versatility and one more guy in the middle really gives us more options. I’d like to see how that would work right off the bat.”
