Montreal pressure-cooker prepared Price for Sochi

Carey Price held court with the Montreal media Monday, home from the Olympics with a gold medal and a big smile.

Did stepping up for Team Canada in Sochi perhaps lift some of the well-known pressure in this hockey market?

“I think so — for now,” he said to laughter, some of it his own. “Probably until the next game, for sure.

“(Montreal) helped prepare me mentally for that (Sochi) challenge. I’ve learned a lot of lessons playing in this market that I might not have learned in other places.”

On teammate P.K. Subban, who only dressed for one Olympic game: "He definitely carried himself very well. He handled himself with the utmost professionalism,” Price said. “He might not have played a whole lot, but he definitely was a character … and he was a big part of the team.”
