Dreger reveals Alfredsson's likely retirement announcement date

On Daniel Alfredsson’s retirement announcement:

“He wants to make sure that a retirement party, a retirement announcement – anything formal – is done in the Nation’s Capital in Canada. And every indication suggests that date is December 4. The Ottawa Senators will host the New York Islanders. They want to do it very early in December. I believe that Bryan Murray, the general manager – we all know his issues – he is very much in form with this decision. He has been working with Daniel Alfredsson directly to try and hammer out some of the details. So wouldn’t say it’s etched in stone, but my sources are telling me that December 4 is a very likely date in Ottawa.”
