Lou Lamoriello will have decisions to make on several pending UFAs once the season wraps up.
The latest 31 Thoughts: The Podcast episode with Elliotte Friedman and Jeff Marek was recorded Wednesday and released Thursday.
A listener wanted to know if there was any new information on the Islanders’ pending unrestricted free agents.
“Do you really believe that Lou Lamoriello is going to tip anyone off as to what he wants to do?” mused Friedman.
“No chance,” agreed Marek.
“The one I’ve heard about Lee is the Islanders are concerned about the term,” indicated Friedman. “That’s all I’ve heard. No questions about the player or the willingness to keep him, it’s all about the term on him.”
Anders Lee will turn 29 in July, and he’s finishing up a four-year, $15 million contract.
