McKenzie on possible Duchene suitors

It seems as if Matt Duchene will be dealt by the Senators in the coming days, it’s simply a matter of which team will land him.

Bob McKenzie had a Tuesday morning radio hit on Vancouver’s TSN 1040, and was asked when Ottawa was going to “start pulling the trigger” on potential trades of their players.

“Well, they’re talking obviously. On Matt Duchene, they’ve already decided that that’s the road they’re going down,” indicated McKenzie. “So they’ll have conversations about that, and there’s lots of interest in Duchene - obviously Nashville, Columbus, probably the Islanders, a bunch of teams will be interested. There may or may not be Winnipeg there. I think Winnipeg is probably more interested in Mark Stone.”

Duchene is months away from a crack at unrestricted free agency, wrapping up a five-year, $30 million contract.
