McKenzie on Jets' Kane: "I'm certain a trade will happen"

Bob McKenzie was on Toronto’s TSN 1050 on Thursday afternoon.

On when he thinks an Evander Kane trade will happen, and if he thinks an Evander Kane trade will happen:

“I would say I’m certain a trade will happen. I’m guessing the logistics of it maybe work better in the summer than before the deadline, but I wouldn’t rule out the deadline.

"But the X factor here is what is his health. We’re awaiting word from Winnipeg. He had more MRIs. He’s had more consultation with doctors, and for all we know the information may already be in. But one would think within the next 12-24 hours we’re going to get a clearer indication of whether the Jets doctors believe that Evander Kane is good to go in terms of playing games in the National Hockey League.

"And then it’s up to him to decide if he’s good to go, or if he wants a second opinion; which I think, through the NHL Players’ Association, the players are permitted to get.”
